Hi have a small network setup and have MS sql server on workstation.
Can access it locally but cannot access it from other work stations.
I am assuming it is some sort of logon error, being it is not a
domain. Any ideas on getting by this ?

I have been trying to set it up on a local workgroup with all XP home
edition computers, I am running into the same problem.

This group doesn't seem to have much traffic. If you don't get an answer
here, I suggest going to one of the microsoft newsgroups. Also, you included
practically no details of how you tried to connect or what tools you are
using. For all anyone can tell, the problem may be that you have a firewall
on the other computer.

Seems to be a prpblem with validation on win xp, unlike win 2000 prof
where you could log into the machine remotely.
